Tiberian Sun

Tiberian Sun, perhaps the most highly anticipated game of the year. We have all the inside information avaliable.

For three years now, Westwood has made Tiberian Sun it's top priority project, with the vast majority of Westwood's considerable resources devoted to making it the best possible game it could be. Soon it will be released. And I assure you, I will be in the front row of fanatics waiting to purchase it. Tiberian Sun brings back too life the tale of the struggle for life or death, and, incidentally, the world's supply of Tiberium, the most important economic asset in the world.

On the one side, there is GDI, or Global Defense Iniative. This is the NATO/UN of a paralel Universe, in tha they possess a shocking array of firepower, weaponry, and manpower, and also a need to mettle into other people's affairs. In the First Tiberium War, GDI defeated the Brotherhood of NOD, a quasi-terrorist faction beant on peace and prosperity for mankind (yeah right)but led by a cunning, ruthless, and ideological man (actually, he's most likely an alien) Kane. There has certainly been a tendency for the wars Westwood Gamer's create too be devestating, as seen in Red Alert and Tiberian Dawn. In Red Alert, GDI Scientists created the Philidelphea Project, a top secret project with the intent too go back in time and "erase" Adolf Hitler from history. They succeeded. Joseph Stalin took Hitler's Place.

In a devestating war, the Allies successfully defeated the Soviets, and instead of the UN, GDI, or Global Defense Iniative, was created. A perfectly normal world ensued, that is,until a meteor struck the Tiber river in Italy and Tiberium was born. NOD moved quickly to collect it's prize, and almost half (49%) of the world's Tiberium holdings became NOD property. GDI Tiberium holding only amounted to 27%. And so, the first Tiberium War was started. GDI eventually defeated NOD and killed Kane. Or so they believed. It is time for another war... and a war there shall be.
